They can even pass through small passages and detect human presence by the carbon dioxide produced during exhalation. They have an oval shape and a brownish-red color. The body of a bed bug is flat and does not exceed five millimeters in size. Bed bugs do not fly, but they walk very quickly and can climb any surface, such as walls and ceilings. Bed bugs multiply relatively quickly. Each female lays between 200 and 500 eggs (white in color) during her life which is about 12 months.
