DISINFECTION

In DALCOCHEM SA, we offer our services since 1977 till nowadays. This makes us highly experienced and gives us the know-how for special disinfection applications in order to combat bacteria, fungi, viruses and other pathogenic microorganisms.

APPROVED FORMULATIONS BY THE NATIONAL MEDICINE ORGANIZATION

Disinfection

The process of killing (inactivating) harmful and objectionable bacteria, cysts and other microorganisms (pathogenic) by various agents (e.g. chemicals). Microorganism is an organism that can only be seen through a microscope.

Microorganisms oftentimes consist of only one cell and can include bacteria, protozoa, algae, fungi. Although viruses* are not considered living organisms and do not possess any cell, they are sometimes classified as microorganisms. Their interaction with humans and nature, creates phenomena that directly or indirectly affect our health.

Microbes

  • pathogenic, which are responsible for causing various diseases in humans and animals,

  • non-pathogenic, when they do not cause any disease and

  • potential disease-causing pathogens, where they take on the corresponding property depending on the conditions.

Pathogenic microbes are our main target when it comes to disinfectants and antiseptics for prevention and transmission of infectious diseases.

The taxa of microorganisms that affect human health are divided into the following groups:

Procedure of disinfection

Disinfection is necessary to maintain sanitary conditions and avoid the transmission of infectious diseases, in places of increased crowding, such as schools, hospitals, hotels, shopping centers, sports centers, banks, restaurants, catering facilities, places of veterinary interest, food industries and public transport. The application is carried out with special disinfectants approved by the Greek National Medicines Organization (in Greek ΕΟΦ-EOF), which are effectively applied with the most modern methods. Disinfectant products such as DALCO-100 (stabilized chlorine dioxide solution ClO₂) are manufactured, packaged and labelled in our company’s certified laboratories.

The main method we use for disinfection is the Ultra Low Volume – ULV (cold) fogging. The fogger disperses the disinfectant (Biocide) uniformly, that reaches even the most difficult-to-reach places. This is achieved through the ability of the fogger to create millions of small droplets (microdroplets), and evenly distribute them. This way, we accomplish the highest standards of efficiency, effectiveness and optimal coverage of the target area.

Our personnel consist of well-trained and highly experienced technicians, who are able to cope with any kind of problem, with awareness for the environment. The continuous studying and training in the fields we operate in, makes as pioneers in disinfections.

DALCOCHEM S.A. has been certified by TÜV AUSTRIA – HELLAS and implements a management system with a scope of providing a disinfection service in all residential areas. (EN ISO 9001: 2015) (EN ISO 14001: 2015), (EN ISO 45001: 2018), (EN ISO 22716:2007)
